My first discovery of this store was in Soho, Manhattan a decade ago when I visited Oyen who was attending Fordham University. She was actually the one who brought me to SOHO and while walking, we just accidentally found this amazing store.
I bought white plates from Portugal and had them shipped from New York to my sister’s house in California. From there, we shipped them to Manila together with some other stuff in a balikbayan box. We’ve been using those plates everyday ever since and kulang-kulang na, meron ng mga basag, and they really look old and used. I love those plates.
Anthropologie has many branches around the US and in Europe and every time I happen to see one, I go inside even if I am not buying, just looking around. I’ve been to their Las Vegas store, Walnut Creek, San Ramon. I bought my kurtina in our banyo from their store in Beverly Hills. They have a two-story store in Budapest. Minsan I would see something I like but it’s hard to bring home and they sell many breakable items.
Their biggest store that I’ve been to so far is the one in Walnut Creek, California. Sadly, their furniture display is now reduced to a few displays. They still sell them but online and per order.
I went to the same store on September 1, 2020.
I bought this lagadera or watering can. It’s so pretty pang display only not for using.
Nerbyos ako, kala ko made na naman by our space invader neighbor. Ay salamat hindi pala.
