Dubai International Airport is a prime example of a government initiative ready to take on the world. They have money and poured some in improving their facilities.
The planning took every aspect of travel in consideration, plus they added the intent to impress and shock. The result is a beautiful structure = good passenger comforts.
Time to fly again.
Edmund was concerned about the size of the plane. Sometimes kasi when the plane is smaller, it’s a little bumpy.
Flight EK001 to London was a 737-800. It’s a double decker but a little shorter. The first and business classes were all on the second floor. I didn’t see the first level.
The seats were configured with lots of compartments to give passengers utmost privacy.
Every seat has it’s own mini bar, tv, shoe compartment, and lots of pockets for cellphones, including phone chargers, etc. It’s nice but I felt a little claustrophobic.
There were hundreds of movies to choose from. Meron pa ngang Tagalog. I watched White House down starring Channing Tatum, and Jamie Foxx as US President. My second movie was Heat, starring Sandra Bullock and funny Melissa McCarthy. I saw Edmund watching White House Down, then some suspense movie, then his last movie just before we touched down at Heathrow was Four sisters and a Wedding, starring Sam Milby, Angel Locsin, Shaina Magdangal, Toni Gonzaga, and Bea Alonzo.
I saw a bar/ lounge at the back of the plane when I went to the toilet.
The flight attendants told me to come back after the plane has taken-off because there would be food, drinks, etc.
Dubai based Filipina flight attendant, Natalie Briones, married to an Indonesian, a former flight attendant too.

For lunch
Four hours after we landed in London, I could still taste the delicious Biryani Prawns in my mouth. The spices were very strong.
I went back to the toilet and I found the bar lounge all set-up. Plenty of food, only few people took advantage.

We took off on time, arrived safely on time, the flight attendants were all attentive and professional, I was given 4 hot towels during the flight, drinks were bottomless, the bar lounge set up complete with cocktail food and hot meals were over the top.
