October 19 , Saturday
Goodbye Club Quarters a.k.a. The Grand at Trafalgar Square.
They gave us a 40 pounds sterling discount coupon towards our next stay.
This hotel doesn’t have a doorman. Hilahin mo sarili mong maleta.
Tipid naman, kasi walang bibigyan ng tip. Medyo hihingalin ka lang.
We couldn’t get a cab because the buses were parked in front of the hotel.
We walked to the main road where there’s a bigger hotel. The four wheel drive maleta is the greatest invention for travelers.
E———-“Oh men, this is heavy”.
The taxi driver heard him, he laughed.
It started to drizzle as soon as we got on the cab. Swerte.
After 15-20 minutes, we reached the King’s Cross train station.
Beside it is the St. Pancras, dyan ang train pagpupunta ka sa Paris, pagmag-co-cross ka ng English Channel.
Can you spot dear husband and my white maleta?
We got there at past 11. 12:30 pa ang train namin. Pitong oras to Leuchars. Pito as in pito. Pasakitan ng pwet ito.
Okay, this is it. Seven hours to Leuchars.
Ready….
I chose our seats in advance. Ayaw ko may kalapit.
I also chose this “Quiet” coach.
I am ready….
E———- “may libre palang pagkain”.
A———- “that’s good, hindi tayo magugutom, pitong oras”.
this is cool.
bottomless Coke, coffee, tea, water
Conductor
nice scenery
A———–“Tart, nasa Scotland na ba tayo?”
E———- “Kanina pa”.
After 4 hours, same drinks, same chips, same sandwiches, I am feeling ek na.
York’s train station is big. parang merong commercial establishments beside it.
Quiet coach ba kamo? We were seated near this kid. He looked so adorable and cute. He seemed very smart too. The whole 7.5 hours trip, he never took a nap. He only rested and became quiet for less than 30 minutes. Then he’s at it again. Talking and giggling. Quiet coach ha!
He was always laughing.
The train stopped at every station, and each time, the attendant came and distributed the same stuff. The same cheese sandwiches, coke, water, chips.
The first time, “Uy sandwich, nice”, the 2nd time “okay, I’ll have one”,
the 4th time “Ay ikaw na naman”, the 6th time ‘wala na bang iba”, the 7th – 10th time, “no thank you”.
A———- “meron tayong Skyflakes, in case…”
Andrews”.
Okay, 10 mintues more, let’s stand beside the door na. Rayumang-rayuma na ako.
