I am fascinated with antiques that’s why when I saw the words antique market in the list of places included in our tour I got a little excited.
Our tour guide Wendy brought us to the Insadong Antique Alley after lunch. It was crowded with both tourists and locals. We were given about 55 minutes here so there’s not much one could do with that limited time. Pagpunta pa lang sa banyo, ten minutes na agad. Ang ginaw kasi kaya laging may I go out before, during and after.
Koreans are fond of drinking coffee. The number of coffee shops exceed the number of full service restaurants. The names are also fun and quirky.
This Disney characters made of wood, metal or tin are highly collectible in the US. If in very good shape, hardly used and in original boxes, they could fetch thousands of dollars.
Nice entry way to a restaurant
Many tourists gathered in front of this guy. I wasn’t sure if they were craving for corn or amused at the sight of a white guy passionately selling food in South Korea.
We have a Santa just like this here at home.
Instead of hunting for antiques, we gorged ourselves on street food.
Grilled octopus is all over Korea. My son is hooked. The smell of grilled octopus is the same as that of inihaw na pusit.
Octopus and churros down, waffle naman.
I wanted to wait till she finished whatever she was making but our time was up, we had to leave.
Just before we boarded the bus, I saw this chicken satays. I bought a stick of chicken thigh with leeks. Delicious.
