Cook C knows she’s up for replacement but ever since I told her that she’s leaving, she upped the ante. She was more jolly and for the first time she gave me her beautiful smile. Bungi-bungi pala sya. Maybe that’s the reason why she didn’t want to smile. Her dishes became better and she showed more drive in doing her chores. Biglang luminis yung gilid ng kitchen.
Yesterday morning she impressed me with her sensible analysis of our country’s political landscape. She said she’s going to vote for Bongbong Marcos for vice president because she finds him intelligent and having a good grasp of our country’s problems. Bongbong also seemed to be not the kind of person who would run after his enemies.
She said she also likes Allan Peter Cayetano but he’s always angry. She feels there’s anger inside him. Siguro napapanood nya pag merong Senate hearing investigating anomalies.
She is voting for Grace Poe over Mar Roxas and Binay only because there is no other choice daw. Hmm, she’s smart. She also told me that DPWH is the most corrupt department because the contractors give money to some officials. She said the only time we had real infrastructure projects was during the time of Imelda Marcos.
This morning, I spent an hour trying to referee between maid B and cook C. They couldn’t give me specific details as to what they were fighting about.
maid B——-“Iba sya mam.
Maid B tried to rally maid J to side with her. Maid J said she’s leaving because of cook C.
Maid B says how come she has a good relationship with drive N whom she fondly calls bunso. Mas gusto daw nyang kasama si driver N. So I suggested that cook C will sleep in the driver’s quarters while driver bunso will sleep in the maid’s room. Palit sila ng kama.
Cook C complained that maid B didn’t like to eat fish.
Sabi ko kung pwede magpasensyahan na lang sila, and accept each other’s quirks, basta daw they don’t like each other. I saw maid B rolling her eyes, pouting her lips and several times, she turned her head to the left away from cook C’s direction. What do you call that? Ismid ba yan?
I interviewed two maids a while ago, to replace cook C and the other one is all around.
All around linis:
Me—-to the cook “Marunong kang magluto ng kare-kare?”
Cook Bing—-“oo mam, yung Filipino foods”.
Me—-“Callos?”
Cook Bing—–“Anong kalyo?”
Ang ku-kyut nila. 🙂
