Drive from Tromso to Kilpisjarvi, Finland - Oh My Buhay

Drive from Tromso to Kilpisjarvi, Finland

March 15, 2018

My daughter arranged for a van to pick us up from Tromso in Norway and to drive us to Trundea Resort in Kilpisjarvi, Finland. That’s the beauty of being in Europe, you can hop from one country to another without having to ride the plane.

Tromso is an island surrounded by pure pristine waters coming down from the glacier mountains. Looking at the blue water makes me want to get off and drink water straight from the source.

I could not believe the amount of ice that’s covering every lake and mountain. The view must be breathtaking from up there. God distributed nature’s resources and beauty. Norway and Finland certainly got their own fair share.

Endless Christmas trees

The 162 kilometer distance from Tromso to Kilpisjarvi was only a short two and a half hours drive, the equivalent of traveling from Pasong Tamo Avenue to Unimart in Greenhills. I entertained myself by eating dried pineapple bits I took from the buffet breakfast at the Clarion Hotel in Tromso.

I didn’t notice the 2 1/2 hours drive. Before I knew we were here, at a remote area in Finland.
