I didn’t go out for breakfast. It would be useless because I wouldn’t be able to chew hard food. My daughter packed some food for me. I was able to eat some but very slowly so as not to aggravate the pain even more.
My tooth pain drained my energy. I just stayed in the room at the log cabin while they joined the snowmobile ride to reach the lake where the borders of the three countries meet— Norway, Sweden, Finland.
Edmund drove the snowmobile while my daughter rode at the back.
The rest of the day was spent packing and getting ready for our departure the following day. Me, I was in distraught despite the Biogesic, Bactidol, salt with warm water.
Even with mounds of snow packs just outside our cabin door, the pain didn’t subside.
I joined them to dinner at Tundrea. The borealis showed up again when we were at the log cabin. Despite the negative temperature, Edmund, Oyen and I went out to the cabin’s patio to see the aurora borealis.
We were really very lucky to be seeing the Northern Lights every single night.
The shuttle driver came all the way from Rovaniemi, our next destination. He arrived in Kilpisjarvi on March 16 and spent the night there, for our 6 hours ride to Rovaniemi the following morning.
We were traveling next to Rovaniemi, 425 kilometer stretch of mountains, frozen lakes, remote villages buried in snow.
