I invited two people to have lunch with me. I offered to pick them up outside their office building at 12noon. I told them to look for a black Ford SUV.
They called 10 minutes after 12 because they couldn’t find my vehicle. I got it wrong. I thought I was riding on a black car because the leather interior was black. Yun pala our vehicle was silver. Kakahiya, I was absent-minded.
I brought them to Bistro Manuel because when I Wazed it, the resto was less than a kilometer away from where we were. At least we save on traveling time. I also like that place, quiet, and good food too.
We didn’t choose the degustacion menu because we wouldn’t be able to finish the food.
My two companions just wanted a light meal.
Res skipped the main course and ordered salad instead. He’s suffering from acid reflux that’s why he didn’t want to eat too much.

Ris and I ordered the Double Espresso, a combination of tomato and mushroom cream based soup P295 / order ++
Res ordered Shrimp Bisque, with thick shellfish stock and crushed hazel nuts and hazel nut oil
Kalamansi sorbet for palate cleansing
Romaine Ceaser salad with grilled pancetta, boiled egg in anchovy, parmesan cheese and lemon dressing
Ris and I had the same order, Shrimps with Ravioli
This was the piece de resistance of my meal, grilled cheesecake with fresh orange fruits. Staring at the artistic presentation made me feel I was actually listening to a symphony. It was like music. It appealed not just to my sense of taste, seeing, but it also evoked a sense of imagination. The three of us gave this dessert a 5 star for creativity.
