Fourteen and a half hours (14 1/2) inside the plane, no matter where you sit, is no joke. People think that I love flying, another misconception. It’s a NO. I hate packing, unpacking, airport waits and plane rides. Whether it’s a 45 minute flying time or a back-breaking 14 1/2 hours direct flight, It doesn’t excite me.
I do love to see places. But I hate the part that I need to go thru the hassles to reach my destination.
This is my first time to take the PAL direct flight to London. I’ve been to this city more than a dozen times in the past 25 years but this is the first time I am taking PAL direct. Except of course when we came here during FVR’s presidency on a presidential plane. That was different. I have taken Cathay Pacific once, from London straight to HK. It was okay.
I’ve heard from some of my colleagues at Philippines, Inc. that the plane PAL uses on this leg is not as nice as the ones used for LA and SFO.
