I could have flown to Japan in four hours. I could have taken the TGV from Paris to Marseille and I would still have an hour left to rest. Makati to Ortigas should not take more than 30 minutes. Double it to one hour allowance for traffic. But not two, three, or four ++++. Such a waste of life.
I could have been home resting, blogging, watching tv. But not sitting in the traffic, aging fast from restlessness, despair, and boredom. Meron pa akong isang appointment in Makati Avenue pero naubos na oras ko.
Granting that it rained heavily this afternoon. But this morning there was no rain. At 10 am, we spent an hour from Ortigas to Rockwell. And not only this morning, every morning and night, a lot of time is wasted in the traffic. One day, EDSA would just freeze. Not one vehicle would be able to move because it couldn’t. Everything would just be on a stand still.
Traffic officers: PLEASE, observe naman, The heavy traffic in the morning is caused by the buses that go to the corner of Shaw Blvd and EDSA . They are blocking the car lanes so only one lane is left for the other vehicles.
This cause at least 30-40 minutes from EDSA Ortigas to Shaw Boulevard na kalapit-lapit, dapat 3 minutes lang yan.
Next bottleneck is the corner of Ayala and EDSA before Dusit Hotel. Southbound buses again block several lanes of EDSA.
Northbound, the buses elbowing each other out to get to EDSA Central corner Shaw Boulevard cause agony and despair to thousands of people traveling from Magallanes. The next blockage which occurs everyday and night is the buses squeezing their way into the two lane road beside Robinson’s Galleria.
Officers, the causes of the horrendous traffic that crucify motorists daily are obvious and yet what are you doing? Palibhasa meron kayong wang-wang kaya hindi nyo danas ang hirap at pasakit.
