October 31, 2015 Saturday
We ordered breakfast in the room but the housekeeping forgot to bring it at 5 am as per our request. Our flight is early so we couldn’t wait although the Filipino guy who answered Edmund’s call said he could prepare it quick.
I was afraid there would be many people taking the shuttle.
We cancelled the breakfast order, sayang yung 175 Riyals we were not able to use it.
We took the 5:20 am shuttle to Hamad. It was good Edmund and I got on the bus first, eto na, maya-maya sangkatutak na foreigner ang sumakay. Para kaming sardinas.
The business class check-in section is impressive.
No more time to hang out in the VIP lounge, we just walkekd and looked for our gate. Mahirap ng maiwan ano. Antok pa ako and still tired from the flight to Qatar. Eto na naman, going to ride an airplane. I hope it’s comfortable this time.
There were many Filipinos working at the airport, eto sa Jamocha cafe, the cashier is Filipino, I forgot his name. He said he’s been working here for several years.
There’s no tube. We took a bus to the tarmac. The Qatar guy apologized to me and Edmund, wala daw yung pang VIP na bus, kung okay lang daw na sumakay kami kasabay nung iba. Aba syempre okay lang, hindi naman kami hari at reyna.
Selfie muna before boarding. Nakakasilaw.
I wanted to have a lot of pictures to send to my children thru Viber. Nawala naman yung wifi when we got off the bus.
The plane was even smaller. Same seat number #1. Parang masikip din.
Okay lang masikip basta the flight is smooth.
I can only take citrus drinks like this fresh orange juice with a full stomach otherwise I will have an onset of severe migraine.
I should know how to make croissants, I studied this in Paris. Remember si kwasong?
The smoked salmon was delicious. Edmund liked it too.
The Filipina purser suggested that we fill up another VIP card kasi daw as per her record, my number didn’t appear. She took our boarding passes for miles credit. I took photos for our file.
I thought I wished for a smooth flight to Budapest? Hu hu hu, it was even bumpier. The 5 1/2 flight seemed like forever. Ano ba naman yan. It was supposed to be a good sunny sky tapos ang tag-tag. My husband said para lang daw kaming naka sakay sa van. Eh yung van kahit kami magka windang windang sa baluk-balok na kalsada, okay lang, hindi naman ako mahuhulog from the sky!!! At eto pang pilot nila, hindi nag sasalita. Dapat meron syang explanation “Hello ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing some small chops to medium, which would last for two hours then it’s going to be smooth all the way”. He lacked information dissemination and customer nervousness alleviation efforts.
Oh God, thank you we’re here in Budapest, alive and kicking and smiling.
That choppy 5 hour flight was not good for my well-being and peace of mind. I thought of reducing my traveling next year. Ayaw ko ng sumakay pag ganyan. Sobra akong ninenerbyos. Nagkakaedad na kasi. Correction, may edad na kasi.
The immigration officer asked Edmund why he didn’t use his visa in April.
Edmund’s luggage was first to arrive.
Followed by my luggage. kanya mabigat, akin ang gaan lang.
Masarap merong taga buhat. I have a private bell boy service.
We agreed to ride a yellow taxi but not using his meter. Fixed rate of Euro 35 to our hotel. Don’t exchange money at the airport. malulugi ka. Their rate is only 244 forint per Euro, it should be 305 to 309 forint per euro. layo difference.
The taxi driver was reckless, he was even using his cellphone while driving. palusut-lusot. Tapos sabi pa, every weekend daw many people die from car accidents. Aba!
We arrived at the Sofitel Chainbridge Hotel safe and sound.
Edmund to the taxi driver—-“Very good driver, you drive very well”.
OMB—-“Tingnan mo ikaw, pinuri mo pa eh di lalo na yung magpapasikat, nakakatakot nga driving nya”.
E——-“he he he, kawawa yung mga susunod nung pasahero, napuri driving nya”.
Great view of the mountains of Budapest from the plane, Ms Annie.. 😉
Good thing sir Edmund is in great shape and no longer complains of his back aches.. 🙂 otherwise, he won’t be able to lift ur luggages from the conveyor with great ease 😉
Thank u so much for sharing with us the beauty of God’s creation 😉 Even if i don’t get to visit those places, at least i got a glimpse of what the other besutiful countries look like through ur pictures.. 🙂
God bless u and keep u both safe always, Ms Annie.. 😉
Sorry for the typo error :-)) it should read as “a glimpse of what the other BEAUTIFUL COUNTRIES look like through ur pictures…” Hindi po BESUTIFUL 😉
Have a great vacation, Ms Annie 😉
Hi ms. Annie, I emphatise with what you are apprehensive about turbulence because just tonight I was also apprehensive while driving beside a huge cargo van beside my car. Takot ko lang matumba ang cargo van sa akin kanina at akoy ay ma pisa. Kaya iyong mga 20 minutes na magkatabi kami at gusto ko mauna took forever. I hope you have a better flight experience on your return.
empathise
I always tell our drivers to stay away from cargo vans.
Whether you’re in front, behind it, or beside it, they pose danger to other motorists.
Thank you Joey.
Next time the flight is not smooth and your feeling very nervous I suggest that you include this in your prayers, MEMORARE, for emergency, for me the prayer was very effective, like a miracle.
Thank you Dee.
