After the green drink combination of basil, cucumber and lemon, I was served next a pink one called Power Dragon fruit drink.
This one has a lighter taste than the green drink. The sparkling water or carbonated water that was used gave this some sexiness. Sexy drink daw.
I didn’t want to touch the grilled octopus tentacles. It looked creepy. But when I put a small piece in my mouth, nay ko po ang sarap. It was so flavorful and delicious.

Our main course was steak. It was soft and tender but dry. I wished they put gravy and more seasoning.
Main course number 2–Roasted Duck. Nothing remarkable about this dish except that the mango was sweet.
The food server was waiting for any of the chefs to come to our table to explain first what this dessert plate was. I couldn’t wait, basta isinubo ko na. The place was a little chaotic and very noisy maybe because the people were tipsy or drunk from all those wine pairings and tasting. Some women were laughing so loudly, baka nga lasing na. Nagugulat ako every time hahalakhak sila. Ang lalim ng Tagalog ko.
My third and final drink was a super yellow turmeric. I didn’t like it. It was too intense. Sana konti lang nilagay na luyang dilaw.

We shared the same table with two young doctors from Philippine General Hospital, Dr. Greco Mark Malijan and Dr. Paolo Cerrado. They said for a change they were not with sick people. They also needed recreation and relaxation once in a while.

While she was explaining something about the food, isinubo ko na yung microscopic pastilyas. Imagine each one of us only got one piece that was so tiny. Kinapalan ko mukha ko I called the waiter and asked for more. It was really good. It was not sweet and it rolled in my mouth.
I did not like the polvoron and the puto.
The female food server came back with two pieces of teenie weenie pastilyas de ube. Hay thank you per sobrang liit. Bitin na bitin. May I order 300 pieces more?
The dinner took 3 hours plus the one hour cocktails. By 11 pm I was itching to leave. I was glad I didn’t bring Mr. Yee along otherwise his snoring would just add to the chaos and noise. Not to mention he would be very grouchy.
My daughter asked me if I wanted to have a photo with Oscar Calleja, naku I was already very tired and sleepy. I didn’t want to spend a minute more after standing up for 45 minutes and sitting for 3 full hours. I’ll just see him in my dreams. We reached home at midnight. When I got to our bedroom, Mr. Yee was sleeping soundly.
I received another promotional flyer after a few days from Gallery by Chele for a dinner with a Michelin star chef from Hongkong. The ingredients daw were imported kaya the charge per person was almost P10,000. Pass. I didn’t want to spend 4 hours of my life waiting for tiny food to reach my mouth and hungry stomach. I wished that they would limit the service to two hours or two and a half.
