Flying from Manila to Dubai via Emirates Airlines

I consider morning flights as cumbersome.   Naha hassle-an ako.  I taking a shower while the moon is still somewhere there.

In our flight from Manila to Dubai, we opted for an earlier flight so we could still have some hours in the afternoon to either go out for dinner or pasyal in Dubai Mall. That was the plan.

Up up and away

We’ve been to this airport several times in the past but this is the first time we are going to explore the city and not just the duty free shops.

Dubai arrival area, ang haba ng pila
People waiting in line at a large, modern indoor venue with high ceilings.

Modern airport terminal with reflective ceiling and digital columns.
We have Euro and US$ but they only accept  their local currency
People shopping and checking out at a modern grocery store checkout area.
We went to the Emirates lounge for the limo service to bring us to our hotel.
Spacious modern airport lounge with comfortable seating and high ceilings.
The limo service is complimentary which we find very helpful. Emirates provides free drivers and cars to and from the airport but not to the airport from our house.
People at a blue passport control counter in an airport.

Luxurious car interior with brown leather seats and modern dashboard.
The driver told us that the drive normally took 30 minutes but could be longer during weekdays because of the heavy traffic. Ours took almost an hour.
Modern skyscrapers reflect sunlight in a bustling cityscape.

We were instantly impressed by the architectural marvels built to impress the world. One of these is The Future of the Museum building.

So this is Dubai.
Tall modern skyscrapers under a clear blue sky.

And so this is Dubai.
