My college classmate, kumare, a friend and, for a long time, the HR manager at Makati Ford, dreamt of coming to America for a vacation. This year, her life-long dream of setting foot on American soil happened. Visiting the USA was an obsession that wouldn’t go away.
She visited her two sisters in San Diego and stayed with her apo and daughter for a month. Her daughter brought her to Boston and Miami. She and her husband Danny, hang out with Danny’s relatives in the Bay Area. They brought them to the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard, Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman’s Wharf, Napa Valley, etc. She pinched herself several times because she couldn’t believe that with God’s blessing, she was here.
She would like to come back next year to visit Disneyland and New York and spend more time with her grand-daughter.
