During the flight from Manila to San Francisco in June, the Philippine Airlines crew, from the purser to the flight attendants, showered me with happy birthday greetings. They greeted me with “happy birthday mam”, more than a dozen times. Every time I went to the restroom, naku po, “Happy Birthday Mam”.
Sobra nilang sweet. They really made me feel special.
Theo was asleep on my chest when the purser, accompanied by one of the female flight attendants came and gave me a gift. It took me by surprise.
I couldn’t move nor adjust my seat to the upright position to thank them because Theo was asleep on my chest. Katutulog lang nya, eh baka magising. Nakadagan sa akin.
The two even took my picture as proof siguro that I got the gift. I wonder how ugly I was in that photo.
I forgot the name of the purser. I think Brilliantes was his surname. He was one of the best pursers I’ve met so far. He was savvy, looked relaxed, professional, and efficient. He didn’t mind helping his crew serve food and drinks. Most PAL pursers naman were all professionals and very nice but I just noticed that Brilliantes handled his role with ease.
This gift is well appreciated. Thank you Philippine Airlines for your thoughtfulness. Your attention to detail and your personal touch make it all the more special.
