My desire to visit SM Baguio was actually due to the fact that during our honeymoon a quarter century ago, we stayed at the Pines View Hotel. We all knew that Pines View Hotel was razed by fire and the Sy’s bought that property and built SM Baguio.

Pines View is gone. Now sits the almighty SM.

I didn’t expect to see this many people. There was a long queue going inside the supermarket entrance. There was a longer queue going inside the main entrance. There was an even longer queue of people trying to get a cab after shopping from SM. The line extended to about 30 meters.

I went to SM BAguio two days in a row. The place was jampacked with people who were really buying and not just promenading. Congratulations to SM.
