I went to the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sta. Mesa. yesterday afternoon. It took us less than an hour from Makati going thru the streets of Pandacan, Nagtahan Bridge, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. Traffic has eased a lot after the holidays.
We discovered this church ten years ago when I got sick. Our friend Willy Soong was the one who told me about the parish priest assigned here at the Our Lady of Lourdes that prayed -over him and his friend. He’s Father Gene Castaneda.
Willy is the owner of the Jaguar, Ferrari and Range Rover car dealerships.
He donated the expensive sound system inside the Our Lady of Lourdes as his thanksgiving. Willy is also the distributor of Bose speakers and speaker system in the Philippines.
There was a rosary novena yesterday when I arrived.
When I looked for Fr. Gene, the manang told me he has been re-assigned in Quiapo church starting in March 2011.
Fr. Gene is a healing priest. If you are not feeling well, go visit him. He prayed-over so many sick persons including me, Edmund, Willy etc.
