Canton Fair

The Canton Fair is the biggest and most popular trade show in the whole of China. This fair started as a local exhibit of goods and has grown by leaps and bounds and it in fact was instrumental in their country’s opening up of trade to the outside world. One could say that the Canton Fair actually started it all. And the rest is history.

The Guangzhou province is three hours away by land from HK which gives it a clear advantage of being close to buying offices in Hongkong and in the region. Hundreds of thousands of buyers from all over the world plus those from other parts of China flock to Guangzou two times a year, April and October.

I registered on line but made the mistake of not bringing the printed confirmation copy. Edmund and I had to go through a tedious process before we were issued these badges that grant us access for the next 5 years. We paid RMB30/ px for the photos, and RMB 100 for each of this badge.

One would be overwhelmed by the size of their exhibition halls. siguro 10 x Mall of Asia.

My husband is now very cooperative. He willingly takes my pictures. Nuong araw, naiinis sya, ngayon game na game na at sya pa ang nagkukusa. I am wearing an Amir Sali mini dress. Amir normally doesn’t make simple dresses but he gave in to my request. I gave him the liberty to choose any tela. But the cut was a copy of an old dress of mine. Para maluwag and comfortable lang.

We gave up walking at 3:30 pm but we couldn’t find the Ritz Carlton shuttle. They said they would be at Hall 3 but we went back and forth but we couldn’t find them. At 4:30 pm Edmund phoned the hotel and they said they’re at Hall 9, Edmund was mad because he got so tired looking for them. This place is huge and one hall to another is like eternity.

Finally at 5 pm the Ritz Carlon shuttle came and found. They knew we were tired so they gave us welcome cookies and cold water. Nawala na ang inis ni Edmund.
