Chased by a skeleton guy @ Fisherman's Wharf - Oh My Buhay

Chased by a skeleton guy @ Fisherman’s Wharf

The cable car station pala is very far from Pier 41 where we would ride the ship to Sausalito. We hurriedly walked several blocks past the many shops and restaurants at the Fisherman’s Wharf but were also distracted by the sights of hundreds of tourists, cafes and stores. We saw a home decor gallery on the second floor of a building but Aileen and I couldn’t stop because we wanted to take the 12:20 pm schedule. We’ve already missed 11:30 sched.

San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf is so pretty, it’s so nice to just walk, eat and just

watch people go by, no wonder it’s one of the favorite destinations of tourists from far and wide.

Their bread smelled so good, we wanted to stop to take a bite but we’re in a hurry.

I took this guy’s photo from behind. Then when I was in front of him, I was about to click my camera when he grabbed me. Or tried to grab me. Ang bilis ko ano. I screamed when I saw his claws tried to grab my right arm. I was very quick that’s why I was able to move my arm and camera away from him. His fingers were about 6 inches away from my hand.

Our encounter did not end there. Dapat pala may bayad before one could take his picture.

He chased me, as in really chased me. I screamed and run at the same time. I remembered watching something on tv or I have read somewhere that when you are being chased by a snake or animal, do not run in a straight line. So I turned to my left, then right, and he was still chasing me. I was wearing my plastic sandals and it’s not for running. That was my only worry. But in my mind, there is just no way that I could let this guy catch me, kahit saan kami makarating. I ran as fast as I could. I left behind my sister who watched in amazement. When I felt I was in a safe distance, I turned and my sister run to me. She was laughing and told me “Ate, ang tuling mong tumakbo”. Tawanan daw ng tawanan yung mga tourists.
Then I heard the guy yelled out to me “HEYYY WOMAN!!!”.

I knew he was running from a losing position. First he was wearing a big and heavy skeleton costume. Second, I knew he couldn’t leave behind his basket of money that was on the sidewalk. Thirdly, he would be losing opportunities while he was running after me, there were dozens of potential customers. But next time I see him, I am going to hide.
