Our 9 year old Lilo has died this morning at 5:20. She was confined at the dog hospital when she died.
Julienne brought her there the other night because she was having difficulty breathing. We initially thought she was pregnant again because her stomach was getting bigger. It turned out that she had an enlarged heart and her stomach was full of gas. The doctors could not operate on her because her platelet count was very low. Yesterday she showed signs of recovery which gave us feelings of relief and we looked forward to her coming home again. But this morning the vet called up Julienne at 5:20 and informed her that Lilo had died. She was already standing up and walking when all of a sudden she just collapsed.
Oh Lilo, we love you so much and will surely miss you. You’ve been a wonderful member of our family, very sweet, so mahinhin, well behaved and never makulit. Thank you for giving us your one and only heir Stitch, although he is makulit.
Stitch turned 8 months old on July 19, 2012.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I too have a shih tzu. He is getting on in years (almost 13 years old) and I couldn’t imagine life without him.
Wow he’s 13 years old na? Lilo was 9, still young. We love our dogs dearly. We treat them like people and members of our family.

hi annie! so sorry…i,too had just loss my bunny,(also a shih tzu)last june 12/12… it hurts me so much…i still cry whenever i remember her…and just last week my tiny tooney died…he’s a special puppy,he’s 3 mos old & weighs 500gms.. his vet said that it’s his 1st time to see a very small shih tzu & told us that he won’t last longer…i cried again…i miss them sooo much…by the way i really enjoy reading your oh my buhay…regards.God bless!
