I had difficulty waking up this morning because I went to bed at past 3 am.
We managed to attend the 10:30 am mass at Christ the King though we were a little late, buti na lang the priest was in the mood for a long sermon.
We noticed they removed the tarpaulins at the altar. Edmund told me “narinig ka”.
Can you hear Edmund singing in the background?
Parking is usually a problem here but today there were several vacant spaces. Siguro more people attended the midnight mass instead.
We proceeded to my mother-in-law’s house for the usual Yee family Christmas lunch gathering. This is the only time we hang out with my inlaws. Once a year, unless there’s a birthday gathering.
Table set-up reserved for grand children.
They installed an industrial lifter which now serves as an improvised elevator for my mother in law. She doesn’t need to climb the long stairs.
Her house is full of Christmas decors
Main dining is reserved for adults
Edmund’s papa’s mini shrine is located in the dining hall
We arrived at 12:15 but no people yet and the table was still being set-up. Her maids were busy bringing-in the food from the kitchen.
The hakaw and siomai were already steamed so we started eating even before the other siblings of Edmund arrived.
Last year so many of us complained because they did not serve siomai. Kaya ngayon, they have isang kalderong siomai.
Her sister Dra. Wilma and her husband Dr. Rowald and their 3 kids are vacationing in the US.
Rowald’s siblings are all in the US.
Edna and family arrived at past 1:30 pm. She brought in cakes and bread from Le Petit Cheri
I was very sleepy. I had trouble keeping my eyes open. I went to the guest room and dozed-off for a few minutes.
We arranged ourselves for a group photo only to find out no one would take our picture.
I took my camera from my bag and called their house boy. Biglang naglabasan na ang mga iphones.
