We’re expecting 230 people and most of them came, except those who were sick on that day, out of town,  and those who had to  attend the grand event People’s Choice Awards.    Grace Tiongco was not able to come because our launch coincided with the Management Association of the Philippines’ dinner meeting.   She called at around 9:30 to check if we’re still there after her MAP meeting,  but most people have already left although we still have food so she decided to just go home.

We truly appreciate the presence of Matt Bradley, the president of FORD ASEAN who’s based in Thailand.
He was true to his word. He came when the place was still under construction. I casually invited him to come for our opening and he said “I’ll be here”. And look, he’s here. Thank you Matt. He is such a nice guy.

It’s a bad idea to stand between Randy 6’4 and Edmund 6’1, and I am 4’4

Although the suggested attire is Smart Casual,  most of the men are in Americana or suits.   Those who came in short sleeves polo complained why the others are in formal wear.    Eh kasi those are from Ford.  

It’s such a joy hosting a party for the Ford people. They are easy to entertain, they look like they are genuinely enjoying our party. I don’t mind serving them merienda at home, in our kitchen cum dining.

Even Edmund and Marvin are in suits kasi we are the hosts.   Oyen and I are,  as usual, in  Amir Sali dresses.   
Amir already knows every inch of my bilbils kaya I don’t even go for measurement or fittings.   Less stress for me.

Banks play a big role in the success of any business. Edmund here with the Banco de oro officers, Elaine, ___ , and Carl (I forgot their boss’ name, I will look at the registration list on monday).

Brian de Souza, vice President of Federal Phoenix Insurance. Their president Ramon Dimacali confirmed as early as two weeks ago, at around 6 pm, he texted me that he couldn’t come. I forgot his alibi.

Ang butihing meyor, Mayor Junjun Binay arrived at 6:15 more or less.

Mayor Junjun Binay is such a nice young fellow. Very unassuming. He told me he was also here 7 years ago when we opened Mazda Makati. Mas matatandain pa sya kesa sa akin. Plus I was also busy during the Mazda event.
