We always make time to get to know our kababayan OFWs wherever we go. We feel so proud and genuinely happy for them. They are true examples of family love and sacrifice. Parents work hard to send their children to good schools. Children, in return, work just as hard to support their parents and siblings back home.
While we were checking out souvenirs in this store, we noticed a kababayan. He has been working there for many years. He has two adult children na parehong may trabaho na sa Pilipinas. His daughter is now a doctor at Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital, and his son is a geodetic engineer. Technically, he and his wife don’t need to work in Rome anymore, but they feel sayang naman if they stop because they’re earning well.
We are so proud of our kababayans. Many of them now have children who are lawyers, nurses, teachers, and so many other professionals.
