Sizzling Pepper Steak

Oyen and I had lunch at Sizzling Pepper Steak located on the ground floor of Alphaland Southgatemall in Pasong Tamo before I proceeded to Tondo.

Oyen’s order- Valentine’s Sizzling Beef Steak with teriyaki sauce was pretty good.

I ordered this Spaghetti with meatballs. The portion was big but it lacked in taste.
I sprinkled a lot of pepper and salt but it just fell short of my barest expectation. I normally do not send food back to the kitchen so as not to make the restaurant staff feel bad. But this one really made no sense to me. Wala sya talagang lasa.

They brought it back to the kitchen, when it came back, it had more stuff in it but still had no taste.
The waitress said “mam, ganyan talaga ang lasa nyan, matabang”. What she meant was this dish was really made to taste like this, na ito talaga ang timplada nito. Pero wala syang lasa, matabang. I think the restaurant owner should taste and evaluate this dish. Its flavor needs a little perking up.
