It’s not yet officially summer and yet we could already feel Meralco’s power.
Our electric bill in Makati went up by P41,000 last month.
Keeping our electrical consumption low is out of the question. No matter how tipid we try, Meralco’s bill keeps on going up.
Having a comfortable workplace for all our employees and providing a pleasant and cold showroom for customers is a real challenge.
We are at the mercy of power providers. Parang nilalaro lang nila tayo. Roll back singkwenta sentimos, tapos susunod naman naka bandera sa dyaryo: Meralco announced power rates are up next month.
This is our current Meralco consumption at home P25,000. Grabe. Gabi lang kami nadito sa bahay. Tulog lang.
Dapat we should re-classify Salaries and Wages expense account. Dapat Contribution to Meralco’s Retained Earnings.
A big percentage of our income goes to Meralco. When I say OUR, lahat tayo, lahat ng Kasambaho.
Edmund has started replacing our light bulbs with LED so we could save on electricity. Siguro next year we would start replacing our aircon units with inverter. Sana magka meron na ng aircon na solar powered.
I only light the front door when Edmund and my kids are not yet home. But as soon as they’re all home, I switch it off na.
I totally agree, we really are at the mercy and whim of these power companies. They want to increase their bottomline, they just increase the rate. Do you remember a few years back during a past election, Sen. Enrile’s campaign promise was to bring down power rates? Almost everyone I know voted for him. But when he won, he never touched on the issue at all. I wonder how come this coming election, no candidate included this in their platform. Is it because the power providers are untouchables?
