Ruins of Hierapolis

We’ve been in the bus too long I’ve lost track of the distances or hours we’ve travelled from one place to another. I have become too comfortable sleeping on the bus. When we reached our destination, I didn’t want to wake -up and move. Madalas, naalimpungatan ako kaya medyo masakit ang ulo ko.
I have spent more hours sleeping on the road than in the hotel.

Our travel agent in Turkey is Pienti, how did I find out? Naka paint sa bus namin. Our wifi password is the bus’s plate number- 34 J 2040 . The number  34 means the vehicle is registered in Istanbul.

It’s almost dusk and we still have one more place to go. Actually two, in one location.  The Ruins of Hierapolis in the southwestern part of Turkey,  and further up is the Cotton Castle.

Ali said “follow my flower”.      Since Ali is a He,  it should be “follow my birdie”.  Francis Papa said masagwa naman daw yun, to follow a birdie.  Better na lang daw to follow a flower.

Hierapolis, or referred to as the Holy or Sacred City during the ancient Greek times,  was believed by the ancients to have been founded by the god Apollo.

This ancient city was destroyed by a major earthquake in 17 AD.   It was rebuilt, but was destroyed again by successive earthquakes in 60 AD.

They are still very much in-love. I hope they live happily ever after, unlike what happened to actress Ai-ai de las Alas’s fairty tale wedding.
