Ever since Oyen brought me to Watami Japanese Restaurant in Glorietta for a late lunch, we’ve been going back at least once a week. We were there again last thursday night.
We liked the place so much that on our third visit, we bought their loyalty card for P2,500 valid for a year. We normally do not patronize loyalty cards kasi nasasayang lang , we never got to use it, pero this one, I think we would be able to maximize it. In fact, we’ve used it twice already. Oyen gets bottomless iced tea and a 20% discount from the total bill. They also gave us several coupons for free appetizers, 30% on certain days, etc.
My order is always the clam soup. But everytime I ordered, the quantity keeps decreasing. I’ve decided not to order it na next time.
Oyen loves their Beef Pepper Rice, served raw in a hot stone pot. They mix it at your table. For P205 minus 20% discount plus service charge and tax, it’s not bad at all. However, the serving is only good for one.
Scraping the tutong
First and last time we would order chicken. it’s not bad, except that we are satisfied with the Beef Pepper Rice.
I will stop ordering this dessert. It has a small scoop of green tea icecream, fresh mangoes, cream, red beans, bilo-bilo (mochi), clear jelly or gulaman. It’s actually delicious but afterwards, parang medyo nasusuya ako. Siguro kasi matamis.
Watami is right beside the Holiday Inn Hotel and there’s an entrance to Glorietta 1.
After dinner, Oyen and I went inside the mall and made usyoso the camera exhibit.
I really need a new camera, a back-up, aside from my Iphone. I saw a nice one but I didn’t have cash with me. Sayang yung cash discount, it’s big also. I also don’t do the 12 months zero interest, kasi walang discount yan.
As if our dessert wasn’t enough, we bought ice cream pa from Dairy Queen- Oyen’s favorite.
That’s their gimmick, they always turn the cup upside down to prove that the ice cream would not fall down. Ano kaya yun?
I bought the soft serve instead, dipped in chocolate. P48 per cone.

Hi mam annie! i think kaya po serve ng upsidedown yung ice cream sa dairy queen just to prove that their ice cream was puro and thick.. tinanong ko po mismo dun sa crew kung bakit nila binabaliktad..=)
