Len and Bong came home from work at 5 pm. We had nothing to do so we went to Pacific Commons, the auto row in Fremont. We hopped from one car dealer to another and checked out SUVs. Our first stop was at the BMW, then Acura, Mercedes Benz, Cadillac.
Aileen instantly connected with the Beamer. Feel na feel nya.
We spent more time at the BMW dealership than at the Mercedes Benz dealership where we only stayed for a couple of minutes.
We also looked at the Cadillac SRX.
The young sales agent is newly married to a half-Greek, half-Filipina. He’s 23, she’s 22.
We also went to one of the biggest Ford dealers in the Bay Area, San Leandro Ford, where there were many Filipino sales agents. There were two Americans who were initially entertaining us, but when they found out we’re Filipinos, ewan ba, bigla kaming ipinasa sa isang Filipino na agent. We thought he’s black, but he could speak fluent Tagalog, yun pala he was born in Olongapo to a Filipino mother and a black dad. He was 12 when he went to the US.
The winner in terms of advance features, comfortable ride, elegant interior and exterior, is the Lincoln Navigator by Ford. Very nice.
As soon as the unlock botton is pressed, the running boards go down. When you lock the vehicle, the running boards fold up.
Bagay din Len, bagay na bagay. Time to change your old Navi.
We all got hungry after dreaming of buying a $75,000 Navigator.
Food is cheaper, kain na lang tayo.
We had a light dinner in Tomadachi, a Japanese restaurant that’s walking distance from Aileen’s house.
Hi mam Annie. How are you? I stayed near Ford San Leandro when I was there. I miss the Bay Area. 🙂 Enjoy!
