Kanina naman, itong si Boyet, cruising along Ortigas Avenue Extension, he almost hit another vehicle which tried to abruptly change lane. Sabi ko sa kanya “kaya hindi tayo pwedeng matuling, kasi yung mga ibang driver, bigla na lang nagpe-preno at kinakabig ang manubela. Kaya dapat depensa lagi, huwag masyadong mabilis ang takbo.” Parang naisip ko, mababangga kami. That was today at around 12 noon.
Then coming home at 6 pm, on the same road, Ortigas Avenue, traffic was medium to heavy. I was asleep when I was jolted awake by a loud crash. My instinct was baka meron kami nasagasaan.
Eto na, Boyet and the driver of the other vehicle that hit us were arguing. It was drizzling, dark, and chaotic outside. I didn’t want the argument to escalate into a fist fight, so I rolled down my window and I said “awat na”. I called my driver to stop but he didn’t want because it was the other driver’s fault. I just wanted to get out of there and go home safely. We were causing traffic too because our cars were blocking the road. When I raised my voice “tama na, okay na, umuwi na tayo”, only then did my driver acceded pero mabigat sa kalooban nya. Kasalanan daw nung tao. Natuwa daw dahil inabswelto ko agad.
Haydee was with us, she was fueling Boyet’s anger by saying it was the other driver’s fault. As if naman nakita nya kung sino bumangga. Eh magbilang nga ng 1-5 eh hirap na hirap na sya. I asked her to please stop talking.
When we got home, Boyet told my husband that I had absolved the other driver. Now it became my fault. The other driver got away, I let him get away. Ako naman, wala naman nasaktan. Pwede naman i-repair yung sasakyan.
When I saw the damage, ay naku, malaki. This could cost P50,000 kasi it also affected the door and light sensors. I am not the service advisor so my estimate is only a wild guess. I hope hindi ganyan kamahal ang repairs.
