Oyen——– “Mom, do you want to eat ramen?”
Mother—— “Okay, where?”
Alam mo naman ako I always say yes, sure, okay, when it comes to food.
She brought me to a Japanese restaurant called UKOKKEI RAMEN RON. located along Pasay Road in Makati. I’ve seen this place before. Lagi kong nadadaanan ito.
It’s across a convenience store called Mini 7. Pinaghalong Mini Stop and 7-11.
We were lucky to get a table at the far end of the dining area. The place gets full everyday and sometimes there’s a short wait.
Oyen’s second time that’s why she already knew what to order.
Toyo-in.
Seafood Ramen in Miso broth. I am not a ramen expert. This is only the 4th time I’ve eaten ramen and I must say that so far the best was in Tokyo, at the mall near the Toyota grand display or museum, this comes second.
Oyen’s was less flavorful because she ordered light broth. Kulang sa lasa syempre. And since she has given up her pork barrel, I ended up eating the thinly sliced pork. Ayun o, can you see the floating billions?
We ordered corn P30. Our bill totaled a little over a thousand pesos. Mahal ang ramen kahit saang restaurant. I told Oyen next time we would just order 3 cups of corn and water.
