I rearranged my Friday afternoon schedule to join my friends at a dinner hosted by one of Sri Lanka’s respected businessmen and Ceylon Tea owner, Zaki Alif, at the Spices Restaurant on the ground floor of Manila Peninsula Hotel.
(Pen’s driveway entrance décor)
I was late by a few minutes because Ayala was jammed.
The host visits Manila once a year and he always stays at the Pen.
Spices Restaurant is on the ground floor, right side.
The long table reserved for our group was located immediately after the entrance. Parang mas private dun sa loob.
Active PCCI officers, Jess Varela and Ben Loong
When you dine in fine dining restaurants, make sure you tell them it’s your birthday so they could prepare something for you.
