No parking - Oh My Buhay

Saturday, October 13, 2013

Golfers were happy today including my husband. The typhoon’s gone. He was able to play golf with Capt. Jack Sotherland, US Embassy’s Naval Attache, Jack’s interest in golf started 13-month ago. He is trying to catch up by playing golf several times a week. I set him up with Edmund so he could pick up a thing or two from my husband who is a veryyyy good golfer.

Omb———— Tart, magsama ka ng ibang ka-flight nyo at baka maubusan ka ng English. apat na oras yun.
E————– Okay lang
Omb———— Baka pag-uwi mo mamaya eh slang ka na.

Edmund came home in time for the evening mass.
We all went to mass but Oyen couldn’t join us for dinner. She attended her Ateneo friends’ joint birthday party in Makati.

The three of us decided to patronize the restaurant, 7 at 7th Avenue (parang ganun ang tunog), in Bonifacio Global City. Wala kaming driver so Edmund drove. Grabe, wala naman palang customers parking dun. There were 10 slots behind Mcdonald’s, Eh sa kanila lang puno na yun. It’s beside Arya residence’s office/showroom. They have a parking but not for the restaurant customers.

Vehicles drove around, back and forth looking for parking.
That’s terrible. Commercial establishments putting up buildings for lease with no consideration for the tenants’ customers? How could these restaurants survive without parking. Ni walang driveway, kung umuulan, walang makaka punta doon. Edmund called up William. Sa kalye daw kami mag park o dun sa malayo, maglakad kami. What? is it worth the risk of walking in the rain and darkness?

We would like to patronize his son’s (Randy Lao) new venture with his friends, but we have to bring a driver next time.
