October 18 Friday
London is a tourist friendly city.
The street signs are clear, directional signs are clear. Policemen are visible. Taxi drivers don’t overcharge. The taxi meters are used.
There are large maps posted on the posts, public fences, and sidewalks that are located in every street so tourists know exactly where they are. Very helpful.
Edmund and I have used them several times. London streets are not parallel to each other, paikut-ikut. Marami silang circles or rotundas, kaya without the maps, it’s easy to get lost.
There are information officers walking back and forth on major roads. Some are just standing at main corners or circles. They are tasked to assist tourists on travel, directions. If you are feeling sick, they would help you get to the hospital, etc. They make tourists feel at ease.
This is Lydia, one of the information officers. Photo taken at the corner of Oxford and Bond, across the big H&M building.
I have pasalubong na for my favorite daughter, ang mura lang BPS14.99 x P70= P1,049.30
I saw this man giving away the evening newspaper
A——— “Hi, why are giving away the nespapers?”
Man——- “Because they’re free”.
Oo nga naman.
A——— “But how do they recover the cost of the printing?”
Man——- “they’re free”.
A——— “Do they earn from the advertisements?”
Man——- “Yah, yah, from the advertisements”.
I flipped thru the pages and there were not to many ads.
San na kaya si sweetheart? Maka pag shopping rin nga.
I spent 10 minutes trying this mask on at Topshop, pwede ito pag may costume party. Bilhin ko kaya? Hmmm, wag na kakalat lang sa bahay ito.
thank you for the pasalubong!
we miss you!
