Our train to Leuchars leaves at 12:30 pm, we went down at 9 am to have breakfast.
The Garfunkel Restaurant is just right there at the corner.
The plating was impressive. The food looked fresh and newly cooked. The two sunny side up eggs were perfectly cooked, and looked so fresh and clean.
Edmund ordered two pieces of toasts. The waiter brought two orders. Naubos rin naman namin.
Met Letty Ramirez, biuda na. 64. She was 24, single, when she first came to London in 1974.
Edmund——— “Bakit wala kang British accent?”
She applied as chambermaid. She said she felt so lonely and sad during her first months, and would cover her head with a blanket when she cried. She met her Filipino husband in London where all their children were born and raised. He’s from Urdaneta while Letty is from Villasis. He died 3 years ago at the age of 69 from heart attack
.
Letty and husband have a nice house in Pangasinan for their retirement and a condo in the metropolis. Their children are settled and have their own houses in London. They liked going to the Philippines only for vacation, and not to live there.
Letty has helped her nephews in Pangasinan go to school. One is already a Doctor of Medicine, one Medtech, and three are nurses.
