Every day, the players were brought to a different golf course. The first was at Kingsbarns Golf Links, second day was at the New Course, third was in Jubilee Course, yesterday was at the Castle Course. Today is the last day of the tournament and the organizers saved the best for last. They will compete their best individual games here at the Old Course, the most important of it all.

The rain poured when Edmund’s on the 18th hole. He finished one over his handicap.
Despite the daily weather forecasts of rain everyday that we were here, the golfers had been blessed with sunny weather. Except TODAY. It’s raining outside so I don’t know how my husband can manage playing his best with an umbrella over his head.

His opponents and the organizers were impressed at how he was able to manage hitting an even par and a par over his handicap despite playing with a rented club, no caddie, and he’s a first timer here. He was hitting against strong winds and unfamiliar terrain.
Edmund’s handicap changes every time. Depending on his body condition. Pagmasakit lagi likod nya, tataas. One time for several weeks, parang may-naipit na ugat sa braso nya. Pag konti lang ang sakit, it went down.
Last night, over dinner, he told me he’s going to play his best today. He was also proudly making kwento how others watched in disbelief whenever he would swing.
Edmund’s body frame siguro lang, hula ko lang, has made it possible for his body to swing effortlessly. We actually came here with zero expectation. I just wanted him to experience coming here and playing in the golf sacred Old Course. Sabi ko nga, basta makaapak kami dun sa fairway at may picture sa bridge, pwede na kaming umuwi. Kiniss pa nga nya yung grass, ako hindi.
The other players are also very good and playing their best games. They’re very competitive pala. Seryoso.
Tonight’s the awarding of prizes and gala dinner. I hope we go home with a tiny trophy. If not, we have tons of photos and good memories to bring home.
