Basil in Pasong Tamo - Oh My Buhay

We were on our way to lunch last Wednesday when Edmund saw Mico Yee, a young professional golfer. Edmund knows his father but no, they’re not at all related.

They bought a Ford Ranger.

We went to the Basil’s second restaurant in Pasong Tamo. It’s located at the back of a building. Quiet and it has a few parking slots.

We got there at 2 pm and they, at first didn’t want to let us in, kasi daw the last order was at 1:30 pm. Huh, too early naman to close their restaurant at 2 pm. Executives usually take late lunches. After they cleared with the chef, we were let in.

002

Basil’s owners were able to transform an old warehouse into a cozy and chic dining place.
003

The ambiance is relaxing. The tables are also far apart which is very good.
They have a small room good for 10 px if you want more private.

The usual fresh spring roll Thai appetizer. Good with the sauce.
010

Crispy fish / mango salad. Sobrang asim, nagkakang-ngingiwi kami. Grabe sa asim.
011

I forgot the name of this forgettable dish.
012

Fried Prawn wrapped in noodles. If you are wearing postiso, don’t order this.
013

Edmund ordered this Soft shell crab. The lighting inside Basil was dark, the plate was dark, the sauces were dark. I couldn’t even see what’s in this dish. Parang blind tasting. I also couldn’t tell from the taste.
