My brother picked me up from the entrance of Robinson’s Pioneer.
We went straight to Edsa Plaza Hotel.
We went to the second floor and stood at the lobby for one minute deciding on whether to go to Paparazzi or to the Japanese restaurant.
We both had soup and salad. That’s it. Hindi kami nagtitipid, nagda-diet kami.
He’s watching what he eats.
We were able to decide on a few things during our meeting:
1. To donate the land where some relatives and former household helpers and drivers of our parents built their homes. I have asked my lawyer to initiate the process and prepare the documents necessary to transfer ownership. Malaki na rin ang value but we have to honor our parents’ wishes.
2. To place a marker on the vacant land currently being used by the barangay as basketball court and residents’ promenade. He wants to name the park as Ka Cardo’s Park. He wants to put benches. I told him, Kuya, tamang-tama, matutuwa yung mga nagda-drugs at nagde-date dun sa gabi, meron na silang upuan.
3. To name the compound as Villa Felicidad.
4. To mark the parallel road as Felicing Way.
5. To mark the second road as Tan Street. Do not be impressed, sampung hakbang lang yung haba nung mga kalye. Kung mahaba ang legs mo, baka walo.
When we called the waiter for our bill, Kuya said he has a senior citizen discount card.
The waiter looked at me and said ——— “Mam, kayo rin?”
My God, do I look like 65?
