Doomsday Prophecy - Oh My Buhay

At the Women’s Business Council Christmas Party and meeting, Myrna Yao played a video of an Indian prophet allegedly predicting with accuracy the recent Yolanda devastation.
In the video, there were translations in English. I could not validate though if those were the accurate English translations because none in the group could speak the same dialect or language as the alleged Indian prophet.

I received a chain message yesterday asking me to forward to others the same information contained in the video. I didn’t forward the message but I replied to the sender “Why don’t we just all pray instead of sowing terror?”

The same so-called prophet has made new revelations or predictions about another great calamity heading towards our country. In 2014 daw, Luzon would be hit and people would die. There’s also a flesh-eating skin disease that would start in our country and would spread to the world.

I have no opinion on these prophecies. They sound like the end of the Philippines.
Our The end.

Inside the novena booklet in honor of Our Lady of Manaoag, there’s a prayer for Deliverance from Calamities. It’s very apt.

ORATIO IMPERATA

Almighty Father,

We raise our hearts to You in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are a part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.

We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of creation.
We have not been good stewards of nature.
We have confused your command to subdue the earth.
The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing.
and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference.

Global warming is upon us.
Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity.

We turn to You, our loving Father, and beg for forgiveness for our sins.
We ask that we, our loved ones, and our hard earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made.
We beseech You to inspire us to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation, and generous neighbors to those in need.
Amen.

  1. Our grandma, who is 87, laughs off doomsday news, because, as she says, ever since she was little, she has been hearing about end-of-the-world scenarios, but still…:)

  2. That’s true. I said yes to my first boyfriend when I was 16 only because my friends said it’s going to be the end of the world in a few months.
