Amir Sali’s dream has come true. After waiting for several years, he finally staged last night his first ever fashion show in the country at the grand ballroom of Marriot Hotel in Resorts World. The event was organized by Amin Productions, our sisters from Mindanao.
Amir’s adopted brother, Edgar, is equally artistic. He made the models’ avantgarde earrings, neck pieces, and other accessories.
Tessa Prieto- Valdez opened the show in a whimsical gown also by Amir Sali.
I wished the background music was not so loud and obtrusive so as not to distract the audience, including me. My guess is Amir didn’t choose the music.
Shaina Magdayao came out in flaming red gown fully covered with red veil. We were all waiting in bated breath for her to sort of unveil her beauty. It could have been a climactic moment except that she didn’t remove her veil. The suspense vanished in thin air. I didn’t clap my hands because there was nothing to clap about. I only saw a walking red tela. Sayang i am sure she looked lovely unfortunately I didn’t see her face and the details of her gown.
Vina Morales is a close friend of Amir too. She was seen running to take her younger sister Shaina’s picture during the final walk. That’s sweet actually.
