My brother reserved the whole Mhelrocks restaurant last Saturday for a mini get-together with his elementary and high school classmates.
His secretary, Videt, who’s also from Binangonan arranged for everything.
Looking at the buffet table, it was obvious that the dishes were especially ordered and not in their regular menu.
Most of the food were my brother’s favorite. Inihaw na dalag, sinigang na kanduli and another kind of luto pero kanduli rin. I forgot how it’s called. Yung merong luyang dilaw.
The best part of kanduli is the buntot. When my siblings and I were still living here in Binangonan, every Sunday my mom would cook kanduli and the tail would be reserved for Kuya Lito, her favorite child.
I found some of the inihaw na dalag with itlog.
There were lots of food I doubt very much if they were able to finished the food.
One of her classmates thanked me profusely for my support in Pilapila. She informed me that they used my carosa for the Virgin Mary for the procession on May 1. Buti naman at nasusulit ang gamit.
Kuya and Atty. Carmelo “Teying” Arcilla. Teying’s eldest son is now a practicing lawyer in New York.
Kuya and I with the Arcillas: Teying, Chita (Kuya’s childhood friend and classmate in elementary and high school), Tigi (my childhood friend).
I left when they started taking turns singing karaoke. After a few songs, the music became noise to my ears.
