We went home in a taxi

I called the driver to come pick us up where he dropped us off. We waited at the main entrance of Robinson’s Magnolia for about 15 minutes. Abah, what’s taking them so long? The van wouldn’t start according to the driver.

We walked around the mall, to the open parking area where our van was parked.

Battery daw. We suspected that our companions stayed in the van while listening to the radio. That could have drained the battery, but of course no one would admit it. They both have the same alibi. They did not listen to the radio. They sat outside, near the garden.

We had no choice but to take a taxi. Edmund didn’t want to wait there while the driver goes home and bring another vehicle. He was mad. We left the driver at the parking to watch over the van.

We walked around the mall’s building again, to go back to where we started- the mall’s grand entrance because that’s where the taxi stand is.

Oyen’s boyfriend (Ssshhh, she now has a boyfriend.) offered to pick us up. He’s nearby lang daw, in his friend’s house in Wack-wack. Nope. Hindi pa kami close (hehehe).

We stood in line at the taxi stand. A while ago, while we were waiting for our van that never came, there was no line. Now, there were many people waiting for a taxi.

Ang liliit pala ng mga taxi. Edmund said we needed two cabs, 3 kami, dalawa sila.

Omb———–“Tart, kasya tayo dyan, apat tayo sa likod, si Alex sa harap”.
E————-“Hindi tayo kasya dyan”.
Omb———–“Oyen can sit on Nyke’s lap, kasya tayo, payat naman tayo”.

Before we boarded the taxi, Edmund apologized pa to the driver that we’re 5. “Magdagdag na lang kami ng bayad”. The maximum number of passengers are strictly enforced in other countries, but not here. Edmund is used to following the rules, in New York, hindi pwede limang pasahero. In Europe too, unless it’s a big van.

Yes, we fit. But Oyen couldn’t sit on Nyke’s lap because the roof’s too low. At hindi rin pwede lahat kami uupo. tig-half butt lang. Hahaha. It was challenging but fun. Oyen and I were laughing but my husband looked so serious. He wasn’t at all pleased. We tried to do a selfie but blurred lahat, patalbog-talbog kasi yung taxi.

On our way to the subdivision, we worried baka the guards would not let us in. My son had to show his ID. Nagtataka siguro yung mga guards.

Umabot P104.00 up to our house. I gave the taxi driver P200, nag thank you naman sya.

Two guys brought another vehicle and a battery charger, or series cable to Robinson’s Magnolia. They came back after an hour. Buti na lang we took a cab. It was a lot of fun.
