Trust is the key to a happy car purchase - Oh My Buhay

Trust is the key to a happy car purchase

Buying a car is supposed to be exciting and enjoyable. The feeling must be mutual. Dealers trust that the customers are legitimate and not bogus. Customers must trust that the dealer is legitimate and would not cheat customers. If there are gray things, ask questions till you are satisfied.

Buying a car must be an enjoyable experience. Not a stressful one.

1. Customers who come to dealerships bringing with them one sack of distrust, should delay their purchase of vehicles until such time that they have cleared their minds and have become objective. Yung mga sobrang magduda ng kapwa, kindly take this into consideration: Legitimate car dealers with big showrooms and hundreds of employees, who issue receipts for every payments received, report all transactions and pay corresponding taxes, do not do business by running off with your downpayment. They cannot run and hide. They will not achieve anything by taking your money and not give you the car. Their primary objective is to sell cars, so why would they even think of getting your downpayment without delivering the car? Customers can easily run and hide. Dealers can’t and won’t.

2. If your car needs servicing, maintenance repair, do not bring to the service center if you have doubts in your heart and mind that this service center will cheat you. We work hard to satisfy our customers. We are not here to make our customers lose sleep. If a customer does not trust the service shop, no matter what this dealer does, laging merong complain and duda yung customer. “Totoo kayang kailangan ng palitan, baka hindi naman ginawa, baka ninakawan pa ng pyesa, etc.” If you are in that frame of mind, relax ka muna, bring your vehicle when you have an open mind and has learned how to TRUST.

3. Customers come looking for a brand-new vehicle, but when they’re here, they look for the car’s defects. So negative. Baka naman yan ay masirain. Baka merong kalawang sa ilalaim, baka ganito, baka ganun. When looking for a car to buy, ask positive questions. “Maganda ba ang engine performance nito? Matibay ba ang brand na ito? Kumusta ang fuel efficiency nyan?” ‘Ilang years ang warranty for certain parts? etc.”

4. Customers are excited to have brand-new vehicles. We are excited too. But you cannot just walk-in and get it in a few minutes. There are things to do. Kailangan yun linisin, lagyan ng tint, i-check sandali, etc. There are also documents to prepare and sign. Customers also have some documents to submit. And there are things to PAY. Many customers come with their checks. But they don’t want to leave their checks if the car is not yet ready. Parang itatakbo yung pera nila. The problem with this is customers are forgetting that the dealer also need to be paid. And it needs a sufficient and reasonable amount of time to complete clearance before the vehicle would be issued a gate pass. And one of this is the payment. Dealer needs to bring the check to the bank and have this cleared. The money will be immediately sent to the manufacturer or distributor for payment.

Customers must learn how to trust. Trust the right people. Buying a new car would be a happy experience if you could learn how to trust.
