Hello Ms ANNIE… i hope ur feeling better now.. this is the first time i came across your blog, and i know what it feels to undergo a medical procedure.. Mine was an operation on my colon.. just the usual procedure, according to my surgeon.. i was sent home after 4 days of hospital stay.. the next day, i was rushed to the ER for severe stomach pains.. turns out my intestines and colon had a major leak and the acid was already doing its worst job on my internal organs.. after setting up a team of 9 doctors, they operated on me for the 2nd time.. i woke up in the ICU, with an ileostomy bag attached to my body, and stayed there for 12 days. was finally transferred to a regular room and discharged after another week, with a special nurse and a long list of medical supplies which put a major dent on my small savings.. the pain will gradually recede after a couple of days.. what u have to be wary of is the persistent cough which could cause some unnecessary pain in the surgical area.. but u are a strong-willed lady, and i know u will breeze through it in no time.. i will pray for your speedy recovery and i will come and visit your blog every now and then for an update. pls take good care of yourself and be safe always.. try not to worry coz the worst is over now.. u will be up and about before u know it.. God bless u and your kind siblings.. hugs to u, Ms ANNIE ..
Pam
Hi Pamela,
Thank you for sharing your own experience.
I don’t mean to scare you but just for info, my father had cancer of the colon. If it’s of any consolation, he was 79 when it was discovered.
Because of that, I undergo colonoscopy every 4-5 years which reminds me I am due for another round this year. I may have to postpone it for a few months. I just had an operation, pahinga muna.
I hope you have fully recovered from your own medical episode.
I am doing well, in fact was able to go out yesterday. Kasi I was already getting restless from mere staying home for a week.
Take care of yourself.
