Music superstar, Carlos SANTANA, dreamed of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He claimed that Mary told him to write a song. He did, and that song became a hit which rejuvenated his singing career. In honor of the Virgin Mary, he named his Mexican restaurant venture Maria Maria. This one is also a hit among middle and high end customers. His sister’s name is also Maria.
Parking was difficult because the restaurant does not have an open parking area. Madeline had to go around the block several times. She found a spot in the residential area behind Maria Maria.
According to Madeline, Santa comes here once or twice a week and sometimes they have performances.

Santana’s profits from all his five Maria Maria restaurants are donated to Milagro Foundation, which he founded. It supports under privileged children.
