Ford was one of the major sponsors of Metro Society’s Benefit fashion show featuring Kenneth Cole. They invited a few dealer principals. Oyen and I went to show our appreciation to Ford, although we were tired and I still had jetlag and feeling a bit unwell.
The fashion show was held at the Shangril-la Hotel. A Ford Explorer was on display just for the day at the entrance of the hotel.
I was there by 6:30 pm while Oyen arrived shortly thereafter.
I saw this young girl taking selfie photos inside the toilet. I offered to take her picture instead. She used to work for Metro Society magazine but she’s not connected with Cignal Cable TV.

The event organizers didn’t let people in till almost 8 pm for the cocktails. We just stood outside the ballroom.
My lovely O yangyang, the nickname given to her by Robert Villa, Eve’s younger brother.
Every time Robert would see the two year old Oyen, he would teasingly call her Yangyang instead of Oyen. Oyen thought Robert’s name was Yangyang.

I saw this young girl being interviewed by paparazzi. Naki kuha na rin ako ng picture nya. But I couldn’t recognize her face. I asked one of the ladies there, ayun, si Maja Salvador daw.

They led us into the Rizal Grand Ballroom at almost 9 pm . I was eager to see the fashion show. . I’ve been waiting for 2 1/2 hours.
Lovely couple
There was some 15 minutes of speeches and introduction by the emcee, Raul Manzano, editor in chief of Metro Society magazine. He was candid and funny. He said every month they beat their competition. I wasn’t sure if he was referring to Mega Magazine.
The show started at around 9:30 pm.
That sexy and pretty girl daw is Ellen Adarna, 26, from ABS CBN. She’s so pretty, a perfect combination of Spanish and Chinese. She’s the new calendar girl of Ginebra San Miguel replacing Marian Rivera.
To my disappointment, the Kenneth Cole fashion show ended in 15 minutes. We waited for 2.5 hours for a 15 minute show.
The models walked very fast. I wanted to see more of the clothes but they walked so fast, they didn’t pause nor posed. Basta they just kept on walking like zombies. Tapos 15 minutes lang pala. The director should have made them pause in the middle and at the front so that the audience had a few seconds to appreciate the clothes and figure out if it would fit our figure. Sana tinagalan na lang ng konti, nagtumbling-tumbling yung mga gorgeous men and ladies.
