When I found out that the hotel that’s included in the regular tour package is located outside of Seoul’s city center, I just booked a hotel online on agoda.com.
When booking online, it could be a hit or miss. Minsan palpak din especially if one is not familiar with the area preferred.
I wanted to have a hotel within the Myeongdong shopping district where there are a lot of malls, boutiques, night market, and restaurants.
I picked Pacific Hotel for its location. It’s a non-fancy 4-star hotel 50 steps away from shopping and 10 meters away from eating.
So far Pacific Hotel delivers on having the best location as far as we are concerned. There are Korean barbeque restaurants left and right, coffee shops, friend chicken restaurants, two convenience stores, a money changer that charges no commission and gives a higher than hotel and airport rates.
Our rooms are tiny and spartan. The twin beds are small. Nyke fell off twice and I almost fell off twice. Other than the rooms being a bit cramped, we all feel comfortable here.
