Repetto Exchange - Oh My Buhay

Repetto Exchange

I gave Oyen a pair of Repetto flat shoes for Christmas, size 8. Her feet hurt kaya we went back to exchange them. Ang tagal before she found the color and design that she likes and the right fit.

Repetto, exchange shoes

Trying on sizes at Repetto

She couldn’t decide which one. Edmund voted for the blue one, I voted for the salmon one. It’s a tie. Mother rules. She got the salmon.
Choosing which shoes, Repetto

Repetto’s shoes are made in France but the bags are not.

Lately, It has become my standard to ask the sales ladies (in most stores, not only in Repetto) where the items are from. Where are they made? And I’ve noticed that sales people are now trained to answer this way…… “it’s designed in____”.
Then I would say:
A———“but manufactured in China”.
Sales ladies——“The labor is from China but the materials are from (…US, UK, Italy… ).
A———“Hindi totoo yang sinasabi mo. Pati materials nyan from China. So made in China”.
Conversation finished.

I may sound too brutal but I really push it. Because I want stores to be truthful. Whether we are buying a P500 shoes or a P60,000 bag, customers have the right to know what they are paying for.
