March 17, 2015 Hermes Store in Waikiki
How did we spend our first night in Waikiki?
Slept the whole afternoon. I was still groge from the Bonamine but I wanted to get up, eat dinner and sleep again. I haven’t eaten anything since we landed at 9 am. So I forced myself to wake-up and go out with my children to have dinner.
Yen and Nyke had been out while I slept thru the day.
One of the reasons why we chose to come here was we could go around in shorts, tsinelas, sando.
We walked along Kalakaua Avenue where our hotel is. We didn’t know yet where to eat, basta lang bahala na where our feet would lead us. Instead of looking for a restaurant, gutom na ako but when I saw the Hermes store on the other side of the avenue, nawala gutom ko. We crossed the street.
“Anak, let’s go to the Hermes store”.
No need to dress up just to browse over luxury goods.
Even if we were wearing tsinelas, we went inside the Hermes store. We didn’t feel discriminated upon based on our tsinelas. They were welcoming and friendly.
Nag-usyoso kami ng traveling bags. Yung pwedeng gawing sling bag para hindi madaling madukutan. The male sales staff was very accommodating. Titingin-tingin lang kami sa iskaparate, after Oyen asked what color was the pinkish one, naku, he brought out na all the colors available. Napilitan na kaming usyosohin.
Oyen was the one looking for a suitable shoulder bag that could carry her passports, wallet, shawl, sweater, make-up kit, etc.
She found the Evelyn bag a little small for her purpose and the price tag a little too big for her purse.
