Our home landline had been out of order for the longest time. Everyone has a cellphone that’s why its usage had diminished. Mabuti nga kako at mahirap kaming matawagan ng dugo-dugo gang.
Our line was easily fixed three days ago by a single call from Edmund to the PLDT.
Except for calls to the village security, for now it has very little purpose.
Eto na naman ang worry, the dugo-dugo gang.

How can we protect ourselves from con artists and syndicates with this kind of modus operandi?
1. Disconnect your landline.
Even if you remind them, warn and teach your household helpers to immediately put down the phone, not to entertain this kind of calls, they would still fall prey. Syempre these are professionals. Magaling silang mang psychologize ng mga tao. Mabuti pa wag ng maglandline.
2. Don’t keep large amounts of money and expensive jewelry inside your house, in your cabinets, under your pillows, in the drawers, mawawala din yan.
3. Paano pa ba? Siguro wag na lang tayong mag maids, mahirap naman sino maglilinis, maglalaba. Siguro yung bingi na lang ang kunin para hindi nya maririnig yung instruction nung sindikato, Wag ng mag landline, meron naman tayong cellphones.
