Tour of EDSA's new building

Tour of EDSA’s new building

Monsignor Arnel Lagarejos walked very fast while blessing and sprinkling Holy Water on every nook and cranny of the new Ford EDSA Greenhills building. I couldn’t catch up. He disappeared from my sight two minutes after he started the blessing. I ended up taking pictures more of the staff.

Edmund is particularly proud of the tiles on the walkway at the sales department’s office. Masarap mag-walking dito. When my son was little, I didn’t notice he was borrowing his sister’s pink bicycle. He would practice and practice around the sala and dining area of our small house. Before we knew it, he could go out and bike. Masarap siguro dito merong apo, dito sya magba-bike.

The building has tripled in size and it was such an exercise walking up and down the many stairs.

The elevators are for cars / vehicles only.

Elevator #2 was not yet done the day before. I reminded the two welders to make sure there were no flammable materials around them.

This looks more like a community gym or basketball court. Workers were busy the day before cleaning it again. Maalikabok kasi dito sa EDSA.

The painting looks familiar because that used to be at Makati Ford. I removed it from the second floor waiting lounge kasi someone vandalized a tiny portion. For a while it sat behind my chair. Its partner now hangs at Edmund’s office.

We’ve been in this place (and business) for 20 years starting as Edison Mobile Hydraulics, then American Automotive Center, then what it is now, Ford EDSA Greenhills.
All these would not have been possible without God’s guiding light and all the people who trusted and respected us. Our loyal and trustworthy employees, business associates and partners, and you, our kind and understanding customers who are now our friends and supporters.

It was not a walk in the park. There were many struggles, challenges, contemplation and doubts. But our rock is the faith that Someone bigger than us is there to hold our hands, be our strength and savior.

To God be the Glory. Amen.
